Plenty of power and time on this chunky spark!
3 1/2 hrs is common! And this will fit in MANY Toshiba laptops! I have a Statellite A135-S4677 and double checked at Toshiba before I bought it! So it wil fit the A130 and A135 laptops as a host of others, mabye a 100 other models? Just search your model at Toshiba first.

Because it is 8 cell it sticks out in the back about an inch. Doesn't interfere with anything and still fits my case as well.
Lastly I got this for a really great bargin price. It was listed at $152 when I originally bookmarked the page. I kept checking back waiting for a lower price to show up and when I saw it selling for $124 with free shipping I snatched it up! Amazon discounts lots of items off the MSRP. Just gotta keep checking it out for when!

        Great battery. Great price.

I wanted an original Toshiba battery but Toshiba wanted a lot more money and they said it would take up to 6 weeks to ship. I bought it here for a lot less and I had the battery right away. So far, it's a great battery. Depending on what I'm working on, it may last 2.5 to 3.5 hours. With the original battery, I couldn't even watch a full movie when I traveled without having to charge it. With this one, I was able to watch 1 and a half movies. The battery sticks out about an inch but it's not a problem for me. It's worth it. I was looking into buying a cheaper replacement battery by other manufacturers but I decided to buy the original battery. I'm glad I found it on Amazon.

Works great. It trippled the life compared to my old battery.

Got this to replace my 3 year old battery. Laptop is still in good shape except for the battery. Now it's better than new since this battery lasts longer than the original one did when it was new!

Forget 3rd Party Batteries, Buy this One

Don't bother trying to save money by purchasing a 3rd party battery. They simply don't work as well as OEM. I returned 2 different brands after they failed to properly charge from my Toshiba laptop. Each worked great after the 1st initial charge. But even after multiple conditioning cycles, they required over 24 hours to fully charge.

This one fully charges in about 3 hrs, and doubles the usage time of the stock OEM battery. And I paid the same amount for this high quality OEM battery as I did for the 3rd party ones.

This one's a "no brainer". It costs the same, is the best quality, and it works. Buy this one.

        Good Battery

I needed a battery for my laptop for a very long time...the original battery had gotten to the point where if I unplugged it from the wall, it would die instantly. I was a little worried buying a Toshiba battery because the one that came with my laptop only lasted about 90 minutes out of the box which makes having a mobile computer almost worthless. I did some research on 3rd parties, and all I could find were negative reviews. I found this on Amazon and read all the reviews and it seemed, while on the expensive side, it would be worth it. So I bought it and got it about a week later. The first full charge read about 3hrs and 45 minutes at 100% but I don't believe it actually lasted that long. It's been about a month and a 100% charge is about 2.5hrs...it seems like the charge has dwindled a lot in the first month, but it's still a lot better than having it on charge all the time wasting electricity. It's a little bigger than the original, but if you want a battery that's going to last you a while, you'll get used to it quickly.

This battery pertrudes from the laptop but it's worth it because of the longer battery life

        Works great...

The battery that came with my Toshiba Satellite laptop was not very good - even when new and in 'battery saver' mode, the battery would konk out after only an hour or so. I admit that I rarely, if ever used it without it being plugged in so eventually the battery was shot so it wouldn't even run for 5 minutes. This battery works great - I can get 3.5 to 4 hours on a full charge.

        Toshiba 8-cell battery

I've had my Toshiba laptop for 3-4 years and didn't replace the battery even though the juice gave out after only unplugging it and walking down the hall to a meeting. I finally replaced it with the 8-cell li-ion battery pack and what a difference! Now I can run my PC on battery power for about 3 hours. I bought the Toshiba brand so I don't know how it'll stack up against the after-market batteries. Also, I've had the battery for only a couple of months. The only thing I don't like, and it's a minor thing, is that the battery sticks out about 1/2"--no biggie in the grand scheme. I'm very happy with my purchase and the free shipping that Amazon.com provides is a real help in saving a little dough.

expensive but superior to original battery

At $163 for a second but larger battery, this is pricey but still worth the cost given the awful performance of the original. I get around 2.5 hrs of use which is little compared to others but great against what I had.
